Aker SA, managed by billionaire Kjello Inge Rokke, and SalMar ASA will set up an offshore fish farm to open up new waters for salmon farming

Aker will spend 1.65 billion Norwegian crowns (USD 190 million) in cash (paid in three installments) to the newly formed company SalMar Aker Ocean, which will cover SalMar’s interests in its semi-offshore and offshore fish farming operations, the two companies said in a joint statement. Finally, SalMar will control 66.6%. shares in the joint venture, and Aker 33.4 percent. through Aker Capital AS.
